What I know for sure.

A Love So Deep!

While here in South Korea, I struggled with a cavity for about a year because I overheard that extracting a tooth was as expensive as the glory. My departure time was near. I decided to harbour the pain and wait for when I go back to my country. But this couldn’t last wisdom forever; one day, I could not bear the pain and every lemon that comes with cavities. I decided to visit the hospital, and to my great surprise, it cost me only 54dollars, and the icing on the cake was the money was refunded by insurance. In other words, it was a free service.

Hosea 4;6 says my people suffer because they lack knowledge; incredibly, I did not search for information that pertains to tooth treatment in south Korea but instead fed on what people think about it.

It relates to how I have been walking my salvation journey, calling myself a Christian but without acknowledging the power of the gospel of God. To me, it was just a set of laws.

A friend once confessed to me how her heart is cold towards reading the bible because, like me, she thought it was full of the Dos and don’ts. Another friend told me they believe it was just people in their wisdom who wrote the bible, so why bother?

The bible says in 2 Timothy 3:16 -17 All Scripture is given by God’s inspiration and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,  that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

The word is like a love letter from God who divinely inspired people to write it to guide us in this walk of life; imagine, after sending his only son to die for our sins, He sent his word to equip us for every good work. And without scripture, we remain incomplete Christians. That is why I was a Christian for a long time but without faith, and the snares of this world quickly shook me, for the word says faith comes by hearing the word of God( Romans 10:16).

Ignoring God’s word is like being a prince or a princess without any knowledge of your kingdom rights, and you end up living like a peasant, and only approach God who is the king in this case when you need to beg or thank Him for the little this world has offered you, yet there is more!

Someone once said that living a life without God’s word is like driving a car without fuel; it will break down. The arm of flesh will fail us. We dare not trust our own.

So now, brethren, I commend us to God and to the word of His grace, which can build us up and give us an inheritance among all those who are sanctified. Acts 20:24.

Much Love. Catch you next Sunday.
